Step by step
Step 1
We prepare the cake top:
- Carrot is given through a small grater.
Step 2
- Cook the walnuts a little in the pan, be careful not to burn them.
Step 3
- Mix flour with baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon.
Step 4
Put eggs in a bowl, add sugar and vanilla - beat the white foam with the mixer.
Step 5
Then add a little oil and continue to mix until completely incorporated.
Step 6
Add the flour composition, mix with a whisk or lightly with the mixer.
Step 7
Next, the carrot and walnuts, stir.
Step 8
Pour the dough into an ovenproof form (for me it is 28cm in diameter) and spread it with baking paper.
Put in the oven for 45 minutes at 180 degrees, until it passes the toothpick test.
Step 9
Allow to cool completely.
Step 10
Now let's move on to the cake mounting part :
First of all, I recommend you to draw a Hello Kitty head on a baking paper, as inspiration you can use many drawings that you can find in Google Images.
In our country, the best in drawing is Daddy, so it's his job :)
Then cut the drawing and you will have a good shape to cut the pandispan correctly.
Step 11
After removing the cooled pandispan from the tray, place the paper cut shape on it and following the contour, cut the edges of the pandispan as well.
Step 12
Then cut the pandispan into 3 sheets (or 2).
Step 14
To grease the cake I made a mascarpone cream:
- beat well with the cheese mixer, add at least 5 tablespoons of whipped cream, to mix well.
Do not overdo the beating as it can cut or make butter, just beat until incorporated.
The rest of the whipped cream is used to decorate the cake.
Step 15
Place the first previously cut sheet of cake on the cake tray (don't forget to spread baking paper on the edges).
Grease abundantly with mascarpone cream.
Step 16
Put the rest of the sheets in the same way, level the cream well on top and on the edges of the cake.
Step 17
Now we move on to the finer part of the work - the decoration.
The edges are decorated with whipped cream stars.
Step 18
To make the bow, I mixed 1 teaspoon of beetroot powder with a little whipped cream.
I found beet powder here .
Step 19
With a pair of smaller popcorn I made a bow (I made the outline with a knife and then I filled it with pink cream).
Step 20
Then I filled the rest of the surface above the cake with the popcorn.
Step 21
For the nose, eyes and mustache, mix a little whipped cream with 1 tablespoon of cocoa.
Step 22
And draw your eyes, nose and mustache.
They didn't come out perfect for me, but it went for the first time :)
Remove the edges of the baking paper.
Step 23
And the cake is ready - good to leave for 4-5 hours in the cold to penetrate.
Step 24
And the promised section ...
Good appetite!
