I planned to make the traditional gingerbread recipe, colored glaze. But I also wanted a simple, quick recipe, without too much refrigeration, to keep the shape when baked and with good taste.
I stayed with this recipe and I'm happy - it turned out delicious, with a pleasant honey taste, and if you make it thinner it will be a slightly crispier gingerbread. If you shape it thicker, it will be a soft gingerbread - so according to everyone's preferences.
Turn on the oven and let it set well - at 180-200 degrees.
In a bowl beat 2 whole eggs and 2 egg yolks - add honey and 100g powdered sugar.
Beat them well with a whisk or mixer.
Quench the baking soda with vinegar and add it to the above composition.
Also add cinnamon (and possibly cocoa or other favorite spices for gingerbread), mix.
And finally add the flour, mix with a spoon or spatula first.
Add in 2-3 rounds, so that the dough does not come out too dry and hard - the amount needed may vary and depends on the brand of flour.
Sprinkle more flour on the table and remove the dough on the table - it will be a little more sticky, to have more flour besides the 500g of the recipe.
Knead and add a little more pheasant until you get a homogeneous and non-sticky dough.
Using flour, roll out a sheet of dough above, about 5 mm thick.
Cut your favorite shapes, from the leftovers again form a ball of dough and repeat the procedure with stretch-cut.
Arrange the biscuits on a Teflon tray or spread with baking paper.
Bake them in the preheated oven before - no more than 8-10 minutes - if you keep them too long they will harden.
After you have solved all the dough and all the biscuits are baked, we move on to the side with the decoration.
You can make the glaze by beating 2 egg whites with 100g powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice - and decorate, grease as you like. Here be sure to dry them well, otherwise they will be a bit sticky and get your hands dirty when you eat them.
Or buy colored sugar paste for decoration - I took the set from Dr. Oetker, you can see it in the picture.
It was more comfortable and quick to work with, in addition to more colors, interesting for children as well.
And now the most pleasant part - the whole family decorates the biscuits, to your liking and imagination :)
At our dads he was the most inspired, to everyone's amazement :)
The pasta dries very quickly, so in 15 minutes you can serve the most delicious members.
And ready, you already have the air and the spirit of the holidays - Christmas in the house :)
Good appetite!
