This simple and delicious recipe has been highly successful when sampled at workshops. Initially, apples might seem unusual, but once cooked, they blend seamlessly into the dish. My husband was pleasantly surprised when he discovered they were apples after my third preparation.
Furthermore, this dish is quite healthy, as it uses no oil. Even if you choose a cream with only 12% fat, it still tastes great.
Rinse the chicken breast and cut it into slices about 0.5 mm - 1 cm thick.
Place the chicken pieces in a microwave-safe dish or an oven tray. Add the finely sliced apples, chopped onion, and minced garlic.
Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and curry powder over the ingredients and mix everything thoroughly with a spoon.
Cover with a microwave-safe lid or, if using the oven, use a suitable cover or aluminum foil to enclose the tray.
Cook in the microwave for 8 minutes on 650-800W.
In the oven, heat at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
After cooking, remove the dish and gently separate the chicken pieces with a spoon, as they may stick together.
Add flour and heavy cream to the mixture, stirring thoroughly to combine.
Cover again and heat in the microwave for an additional 4 minutes or in the oven for 15 minutes.
Once removed from the microwave, keep the dish covered for another 4 minutes to complete the cooking. Serve straight from the oven.
Serve hot, paired with your favorite side dish such as vegetables, rice, or potatoes.
Enjoy your meal!
