I used to think that beautifully crafted cookies could only be purchased from stores, but that's not the case. I discovered this recipe on a forum and tried it immediately; no one believed they were homemade. Someone even thought they resembled store-bought cookies!
This recipe is quick and easy to prepare, and truly worth a try. Apricot jam is an excellent choice, providing a wonderful aroma and vibrant color, though you can use any thick jam you prefer.
In a bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar with a mixer until well combined.
Add the egg whites and mix thoroughly.
Add the vanilla extract and flour, and mix well with the mixer until the composition is smooth.
You'll get a soft dough, perfect for piping onto baking sheets.
Place the dough in a piping bag with a large tip and gently shape the cookies on a non-stick baking tray.
Use your finger to create indentations in the center of each cookie.
Fill these indentations with a small amount of jam.
Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 200°C for 10-15 minutes until the edges are lightly browned but not too dark.
Allow the cookies to cool, then enjoy them to the fullest :)
Bon appétit!
