Step by step
Step 1
Apples are peeled and pitted, grated. Then drain well, mix with sugar, lemon peel or cinnamon.
Step 2
Place baking paper on an oven tray and spread the apples evenly, covering the entire surface.
Step 3
Now we make the dough:
- the whites are separated from the yolks;
- beat the egg whites hard with the mixer;
Step 4
Beat the yolks, add the sugar (4 tablespoons) and beat until they become a white composition.
Step 5
Add flour and baking powder, mix a little with the mixer.
Step 6
Carefully incorporate the egg whites into the above composition - mix gently.
Step 7
Pour the dough into the pan and spread it over the apples.
Step 8
Place the tray for 15-20 minutes in a preheated oven at 200 degrees.
Step 9
It is ready when it browns nicely.
Step 10
Turn the roll over on a kitchen towel, so that it comes up with the paper.
Step 12
Start rolling the cake gently, while it is still hot.
Step 13
Roll it tightly and let it cool.
Step 14
Carefully cut with a knife can be served hot, but it seems better cold, slightly more penetrating.
