It is a pate or a salad, as you want to call it, absolutely delicious and very simple and quick to prepare. In addition, it is healthy, raw, a pleasant nuts taste of avocado, a little tomato, garlic and lemon flavor - so I recommend it with confidence.
I served it with Wholemeal Homemade Bread and it was a delight.
Beware of avocados - for the success of the recipe it is mandatory to be soft avocado (enter a little finger at a light touch) - if you take it from the store harder leave it for about 2 days at room temperature and bake.
Avocado is cut lengthwise in half. With a spoon, dig out the core and put it in a deeper plate.
With a fork, mash the avocado pulp a little - being soft and baked, it's easy and quick. I don't recommend passing it with the blender, it makes too much paste and changes its taste - tested ...
Wash the tomatoes and cut them into small cubes, add them to the avocado paste.
Next is the olive oil.
Then lemon juice - 3-4 tablespoons, crushed garlic (garlic powder) and salt to taste.
Lemon is mandatory - avocado does not oxidize quickly, but I recommend that you do not make a large amount of pate at once - the best is fresh, although it does not lose much of the taste and the 2nd day is better then, barely made.
Mix all this, then put in a serving bowl and enjoy with whatever you like - on slices of vegetables, bread or whatever you like.
Good appetite!
