Step by step
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients for the bread.
Step 2
In a bowl pour 1 glass of prepared water, the yeast cube and 2-3 tablespoons of white flour.
Mix well and leave for 10-15 minutes.
Step 3
Then pour the rest of the water and salt, mix well.
Step 5
And the last wholemeal flour.
Step 6
With a spoon, mix all the ingredients until they stick together.
Step 7
Then pass the dough on the work table and knead it lightly with your hands until it is even.
Step 8
This is how the dough looks ready, kneaded, non-sticky and uniform.
Step 9
Cover it with cling film and leave it to rise for about an hour - until it doubles in volume.
Step 10
Here fermented nicely, take it out of the bowl and knead it a little more to completely flatten the crust.
Step 11
Let it rest for another 10 minutes then work it.
Step 12
Divide the dough into 2 and form 2 loaves. Put them in cake pans greased with a little oil or spread with baking paper - let them grow well.
Don't confuse 3 loaves here - it was another round of a larger amount of dough - from the round with 2 loaves I didn't have pictures at step 12-13.
Step 13
Then put the bread in the oven for 45-60 minutes, at 180-200 degrees, to bake and brown well. Take it out of the oven and leave it in the trays for 10 minutes, as hot as it is.
Step 14
After this time, turn it over on a bottom and cover with a towel until it cools completely. It would be perfect to let it rest for 5-6 hours and you can cut it nicely.
I usually do it in the evening and cut it in the morning, so I'm sure it took the time to mature and cool.
Step 15
Here you also have a section, perfect for anything - and for sandwiches, food or so simple - Sofia eats it so empty without anything else.
Good appetite!
