I think this is one of the simplest desserts I've ever made - 3 ingredients + 1 hour and you have a beautiful and delicious dessert.
I really liked the combination of pineapple with puff pastry, and the assembly method is very interesting. Be sure to try it, it's really worth it.
Count the pineapple slices (you'll cut the pastry according to their number) and place over some napkins or kitchen towel to absorb the liquid.
Because I had 12 slices of pineapple, I cut the pastry sheet into 12 equal squares. It's important to cut a square for each slice of pineapple, about the same size as the diameter of the pineapple. Place a pineapple slice over each square.
Make another cut around the corners of each square, without cutting the middle part - see the picture. You'll be able to figure it better by looking at the next pictures as well.
Then lift up the outer corner towards the middle of the pineapple.
Do the same with the opposite corner, bring it to the middle and glue the two corners together.
Repeat the procedure for the other corners. Stick them together well with your finger. Here is your first pineapple flower :)
Repeat the procedure for all the squares. Arrange on a sheet brushed with a little oil and place in the oven at 180-200 degrees C - which is average temperature.
Bake until nicely browned. Remove from the oven and let cool a little.
Sprinkle over with powdered sugar to sweeten them and to look good - and they are ready to be served.
Enjoy!
