The best cookies ever tasted - that was the verdict after the first snack. And believe me, I saw some cookies, at least at our holiday home there were about 5-6 types, that's the tradition in the area.
I worked a bit on the exterior, because such simple powders are not very good-looking - but after the experiences at home with cookies immediately came up ideas, here I just put the picture with them simple (see the appetizing section), if you powder them very little with cocoa powder (see picture below) will be even more beautiful.
The raisins are soaked in boiling water for half an hour.
During this time weigh the walnuts, dates and add the orange peel to the sachet or grated.
Then pass all the ingredients through the mincer or blender until they become a uniform paste. This will be the filling.
Now prepare the dough, everything is very simple - measure all the ingredients, add it to a large bowl of dough and knead.
A very pleasant, soft and non-sticky dough will come out.
Roll out the dough with your hands in a roll and cut it into pieces about 1 cm thick - about 20-25 pieces will come out. You make them depending on how big you want the cookies to be.
Each piece is flattened a little with your hands and put the date filling in the middle.
Close it, so as to form a ball with the filling closed in the middle.
Flatten it a little and now the part with the embellishment - with a fork scratch it on top and put it in caster sugar.
Notice that the cookies come out evenly, and seem a little glazed from the caster sugar.
Put them in the oven at medium temperature until lightly browned.
Then let them cool well.
And here powdered with a little cocoa - very little, just for decoration.
And here is the picture with the section, I chose this one to see how appetizing they are inside.
Good appetite!
