Couscous is a type of pasta, but very small in size, usually made of durum wheat, or whole durum wheat (very good in weight loss regimes and more). I also posted How to Cook Couscous because it can be used in several dishes or simply as a side dish.
The advantage is that it boils very quickly, it is tasty and healthy, you can combine it with anything you like.
Here I put the combination of couscous with mushrooms, a very successful and fast one.
Boil couscous according to the Recipe here.
During this time we quickly prepare the mushroom mixture.
Onions are cleaned, washed and finely chopped. Put it to fry in some oil.
While the onion is cooking, cut the washed and cleaned mushrooms into medium pieces. When the onion softens and begins to brown slightly, add the mushrooms, mix well and let them cook together over medium heat.
Stir periodically, when you notice that the mushrooms have dropped well and start to brown then it is ready. Add a little salt and pepper, stir and remove from the heat.
Add the mushrooms to the couscous, which has boiled during this time.
Mix well and let all the flavors penetrate for 10 minutes.
Such a dish can be a side dish and basic food, depending on how you like it. Serve hot.
Good appetite!
