I saw this recipe on the internet, just when I was craving a strawberry shortcake - but I didn't feel like complicating myself with many ingredients and I didn't have time. The cake is very good, the soft and fluffy dough melts in your mouth and combines perfectly with strawberries.
I recommend you to enjoy the fragrant and good strawberries as much as possible :)
Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Wash the strawberries and let them drain, sprinkle with a little sugar.
Mix the yolks well with powdered sugar.
Beat until white foam and dissolve all the sugar.
In this composition add flour and mix carefully with a spoon, so that no air comes out of the dough.
In the egg whites put lemon juice and lemon peel.
Beat them hard - if you turn the bowl over, it won't run.
Incorporate the egg whites into the yolks, stirring carefully from top to bottom.
Line the baking paper in a 20x30 tray, pour the dough, distribute evenly and level.
Strawberries are placed on top of the dough, on the entire surface. Do not deepen them in the dough, the dough will grow next to them.
Put the tray in the oven at medium temperature until golden brown. Then take it out of the oven and let it cool in the pan.
Then portion and sprinkle powdered sugar on all pieces.
Good appetite!
