A very tasty alternative to chicken barbecues and other versions of baked chicken drumsticks. I found the recipe in a magazine in 2007, I was very impressed and cooked it in my family regularly since then.
Wash chicken thighs and place them in a pan.
Sprinkle chopped garlic, savory, pepper, salt and oil over chicken thighs. Brush each piece well with spices, you can use a spoon or your hands.
Pour 50 ml of water in the pan, cover with lid or foil and bake.
After 30-40 min thighs are removed from the oven, turn them on another side.
Pour diced tomatoes over chicken thighs, distribute throughout the tray and bake another half hour.
The juice from the pulp should have decreased, but if the oven temperature is lower you will have to bake more than half an hour
Remove them from the oven when the tomatoes are well cooked.
Serve with rice, potatoes, pasta or vegetables.
Bon Appetite!
