Step by step
Step 1
Put the flour in a large bowl, add the salt and olive oil.
Step 2
Measure 225ml of warm water, add 1 tbsp of sugar, 2 tbsp active dry yeast, mix well and leave this mixture 15 min in a cold warm place until it makes a foam.
Step 3
Here you can see the yeast mixture with a nice foam, and this mean that it's ready to further use.
Step 4
Add this yeast mixture to the flour, salt and oil and begin making the dough - use a big spoon first, then use your hands.
Step 5
Sprinkle some flour on the table and move the dough from the bowl on it. Knead for 2-3 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic, if it's too wet add more flour and keep kneading.
Step 6
Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a large mixing bowl that has been greased lightly with oil. Cover with plastic wrap and allow to rise in a warm environment.
Step 7
After rising, divide the dough into two parts.
Step 8
Roll each half into a ball and let them rest covered for 5-10 minutes.
Step 9
Flatten each ball of dough on a lightly floured surface.
I usually make a 30cm round circles, because this is the size of my baking pans for pizza.
Step 10
For better results I recommend you to use baking pans for pizza, they are easy to use and will help your pizza get that fin and crispy crust.
Grease them with some oil.
Step 11
Spread out the dough ball and move it into the baking pan, lifting a bit towards the edges.
Step 12
Let rest for 10 minutes before topping.
Top with your favorite toppings and bake for 10-15 minutes.
Bon Appetit!
