Before, I would hesitate to make waffles because I didn't want to just sit and watch the waffle maker. Now, I put them all at once in the oven and, in 15-20 minutes, everyone is happy. This time, I tried the savory waffles with cheese. They are very quick and easy to make and the cheese flavour matches the greens perfectly.
They go along very well with a salad or, if you cut them into smaller pieces, you can fill with any paste / patee and serve as appetizers. They are so good that you will definitely find a good way to use them, so make sure you try.
In a bowl, combine milk with eggs, beat well with a whisk or mixer.
Add flour and baking powder.
Mix thoroughly and properly so that the batter won't be lumpy.
Now add in the oil, the greens (here, chopped dill) and the finely grated cheese.
Mix thoroughly again.
Here you can see the silicone molds from Tupperware in which I make the waffles. There are 4 waffles in each mold, I have 2 and they are perfect for the big oven tray.
You can find them at any Tupperware distributor in the country, the full list here.
Pour 2 tablespoons of batter in each waffle mold and level out with a spoon or spatula to fill in well all the space.
Bake for 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven at 180 degrees C.
Then carefully turn the waffles out of the molds onto the oven tray, use a glove or towel to help you.
Return to the oven for another 2-3 minutes, then serve as you like - simply, with yoghurt, sour cream / cheese, with a salad or as a base for various appetizers.
Enjoy!
