Everyone is happy. I can easily get away with making a quick, delicious and interesting dessert - waffles. My family enjoy the taste, texture, shape and especially the waffle topping. Of course, they can also be made in the classic waffle maker but, to me, the oven process seems much faster and cleaner. For a larger number of waffle eaters, make sure you have 2 silicone waffle shapes. They fit perfectly in the large oven tray and you have 8 waffles all of a sudden.
This recipe is so chocolatey and sinful. The waffles are thick and slightly crunchy with an intense aroma. You can serve them with chocolate and banana sauce. A contrast, like vanilla cream or vanilla and sour fruit ice cream would also work.
It's the Tupperware silicone waffle makers that I trust the most and I've been testing them for several years, in different sizes and patterns. You can find them at any Tupperware distributor in the country, the list is available on the site.
Separate the two eggs.
In a bowl, mix the melted and slightly cooled butter with 3 tablespoons of cocoa.
Add the yolks and sugar, mix.
Add in flour and milk, beat well with a whisk until the batter is lump free.
The batter will be rather dense, so it should.
In another bowl, beat the 2 egg whites with the mixer.
Add the egg whites to this mixture in two steps. After each time, stir carefully with moves from top to bottom, so that the egg whites won't lose their foamy texture.
Now the batter is exactly as it should be, silky and with a thick cream-like consistency.
Here is the silicone waffle maker I used.
From this amount, you can make 4 thicker waffles or 6 thinner ones.
Distribute the batter evenly in the waffle maker.
Place the waffle shape in a simple oven tray.
Bake in the preheated oven at 200 degrees C for 15 minutes.
Then carefully turn out the waffles onto the oven tray, using a glove or towel.
Bake for another 5 minutes.
Serve right away, while the waffles are really hot, with any topping you prefer.
Enjoy!
