Oven Baked Easy Waffles
I suppose you all experienced a kind of "love at first sight" with certain utensils in the kitchen. So did I, with this silicone mold for Belgian waffles. I assumed, at first, it wasn't going to be bad at all, but after the first try, I fell in love completely for a long time. Not only me, the children also enjoyed the waffles with excitement. Also, this first waffle recipe that I chose is the most common and simple. Mix them all in 5 minutes, you can easily adjust the flavors and texture to taste (you can add oatmeal, cocoa etc.) They are moderately sweet, soft and tender. You make the topping of your choice - we had them with yogurt / sour cream and strawberry jam, or with melted chocolate. I've made this recipe 3 times this past week and I got exactly 4 waffles in one silicone shape, for a reasonable dessert, without being excessive.

Step by step
Step 1
Beat the eggs in a bowl. Add in sugar, oil and salt, mix well with a whisk or spoon - no mixer is needed for this recipe.
Step 2
Pour in the buttermilk or yogurt / kefir, stir again.
Step 3
Add flour, baking powder and vanilla essence.
Step 4
Stir all the ingredients well, until the mixture is not lumpy.
Step 6
If you have a big and greedy family, you can make 8 waffles at a time. Place 2 waffle shapes in the big oven sheet and bake in the oven.
Step 7
Ladle the batter into a mold with a large spoon. You can make thinner waffles if you put less batter.
Step 8
Or you fill them properly, just like me, and then you'll have some chubby waffles :)
Place the sheet in the preheated oven at 200 degrees C for 15-20 minutes.
Step 9
That's what they look like when they are done.
Step 10
Use a towel or kitchen gloves to carefully turn the waffles out the onto the oven sheet, while they are hot.
Step 11
It's recommended to keep them in the oven for another 5 minutes, without the silicone mold.
They are done, but I think they become a little crispier after these 5 minutes. So, try and see how you want them.
Step 12
And ready! Quickly arrange them on the plates, while still hot. Fix them with whatever topping you want and savour with great pleasure :)
We had yogurt and strawberry jam ... then some melted chocolate, then jam without yogurt ...
Enjoy!
