Step by step
Step 1
Rinse the oranges. Grate the peel of one orange using a fine grater, ensuring to avoid the white pith as it has a bitter taste.
Squeeze out the juice from the oranges. You should ideally have about 150ml of juice.
Step 2
Whisk together the eggs and sugar until well combined.
Step 3
Gradually incorporate the melted and cooled butter into the egg-sugar mixture, continuously stirring as you do so.
Step 4
Next, add the orange juice, grated orange peel, and vanilla extract into the mixture. Stir well to combine.
Step 5
Gently fold in the flour and baking powder using a whisk. Make sure the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
Step 6
Transfer the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper.
Step 7
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for approximately 45 minutes.
To ensure doneness, perform a toothpick test. If it comes out clean, your orange bread is ready. If not, leave it in the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes.
Step 8
Allow your delightful orange bread to cool, then slice it up and serve with joy.
Enjoy your meal!
