Blueberry jam is a seasonal delight that you shouldn't miss. This recipe is perfect for those who want to keep the vitamins, aroma, and color of the blueberries intact. The boiling process is done in stages, and with a little patience, you can get the perfect texture. The end result is a delicious and aromatic jam that will elevate any breakfast, especially with pancakes.
Wash and clean the blueberries and mix them well with the sugar.
Stir the blueberries and sugar mixture with your hands to extract some of the juice. Leave the mixture for about 1-2 hours until more juice appears.
Boil the jam in 2-3 stages in a deep pan or a pan with a diameter of 26-28 cm:
- Add each time only 3-4 tablespoons of the mixture to the pan and let it boil on high heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring periodically.
After boiling, pour the jam into dry jars and seal them well. If the first jar is not filled, cover it with a lid and fill it from the next stage - cooked exactly as in the previous step.
With 1.5 kg of blueberries, this recipe will yield approximately 5 jars of 350 ml of jam. Allow the jars to cool before storing them in the pantry.
