"Plachia" is one of the most beloved desserts of my childhood, besides Baba Neagra it was served on many occasions and meals, necessarily baked in a wood oven in clay pots. I couldn't reproduce it for a long time until I consulted again last summer with my aunt from the country.
It is not a simple rice with milk - more a kind of rice with milk and eggs, well baked, with an intense smell of butter and vanilla. I even managed to make it without an oven, on the stove - it tasted about 99% like my grandmother's. I recommend you try it, as a slightly special version of rice pudding.
In a thick-bottomed saucepan or saucepan, boil 1 glass of water (250ml).
Wash the rice and add it to the water when it starts to boil, stir periodically and let it simmer until it absorbs almost all the water.
When the water is almost absorbed, add the milk mixed with sugar, bring the high heat to a boil, then the low heat again and stir periodically until the rice boils well.
The composition should be as thick as a classic milk rice - take the pan a little off the heat and add the butter.
Now add the vanilla, the raisins optionally - mix well.
Beat eggs well and pour over rice, stir.
You now have 2 options:
1. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer on the stove to simmer for 40-50 minutes.
2. Cover with aluminum foil and put in the oven at 150 degrees for 1 hour.
In both cases, you have to get something out of it. It can be seen that the rice is well cooked and has brown edges.
Serve hot or hot - but also cold is not to be neglected :)
Moldovan girls, if you know other variants of plaque, I invite you to write them below in the comments section.
Good appetite!
