We have been looking for a simple and quick gingerbread squares recipe for a long time, meaning that I can pour it and then cut it, so that I don't have to shape each piece. In addition, it is made quickly - it is soft, dense and very fragrant, I will even repeat it, the family liked it a lot.
The aromas and texture are so good, you don't even realize that it is vegan - the caramel gives it a special charm, you put the spices as an option, but still cinnamon I would leave it mandatory.
Melt the sugar over low heat until completely caramelized.
Pour the water and leave it on the fire until the caramel melts completely in the water.
Take it off the heat and pour it into another pan to cool faster.
When the caramel water has cooled well - pour it into a bowl and add the oil, flour, baking soda, baking powder and spices.
Mix well so that they are not lumpy, then add chopped walnuts and raisins or shit, if you like.
Pour the composition into an oven tray lined with baking paper.
Bake for 25 minutes in a preheated oven at 180-200 degrees.
Allow to cool well then cut and serve.
Delicious and fragrant, I really recommend it.
Good appetite!
