Also known as the "5-minute jam roll," this delightful treat took me just about 10 minutes to make. It's quick to prepare and incredibly delicious. At our place, it disappears as quickly as it’s made, so be prepared to make it more than once!
I paired it with strawberry banana jam, which proved just how delectable it is.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and preheat it in the the oven to 180-200 degrees Celsius.
I recommend greasing the baking paper with a little oil to help the baked dough release more easily.
Meanwhile, prepare the dough:
- Use a mixer to beat the eggs with the sugar until they form a white foam;
- Add the flour, powdered milk, baking powder, and salt, stirring to prevent lumps.
The batter will resemble a sour cream consistency.
Pour it onto the hot tray lined with parchment paper, spreading it evenly.
Place the tray in the oven for 5-7 minutes. Stay close as it bakes quickly and can over-brown if left unattended.
Once it starts to brown, promptly remove it from the oven.
Act quickly while it's hot: immediately spread the jam over it...
... then roll it up as tightly as possible, carefully removing the paper. Use a towel or gloves to avoid burning your hands.
Let it cool slightly, then it's ready to slice and serve.
Enjoy it warm or cold. I highly recommend it!
Enjoy your meal!
