Strawberry Banana Jam
I came up with the idea yesterday to try such a combination, bananas go well with strawberries - and yes, it's a great recipe. I started from the same recipe for strawberry jam, but adding 2 bananas to 1 kg of strawberries and I reduced the amount of sugar a little.
Bananas do not confuse strawberry flavor at all, they complement it perfectly and do not predominate in the final taste - I say it is worth a try, you will surely intrigue anyone with such a combination.
The texture is perfect, just like a jam should be - dense and not flowing at all.

Step by step
Step 1
In a bowl put the cleaned strawberries and the broken bananas.
Step 3
Rub well with your hands to crush bananas and strawberries.
I recommend leaving the composition for at least 30 minutes to let the juice and the sugar dissolve.
It would be best about 2-3 hours, or overnight (in the refrigerator).
Step 4
Pour 3 tablespoons into a saucepan with a larger bottom - or 28-30cm pan.
If you make it in a small pot, like a kettle, do not put more than 1 glass.
Step 5
Put on the fire, when it starts to boil, make the flame to be medium and leave (stirring periodically) for about 7 minutes.
Step 6
After this time, the jam becomes caramelized and thickened, but it still has some foam that bothers me to see it in the jar.
And then, when the jam is ready (after 7 minutes of boiling) I take the pot off the heat ....
Step 7
... and I leave it aside for 3-5 minutes, I mix it 2-3 more times in it.
Notice that the foam is left and the jam is ready to pour into the jar.
Step 8
Optionally at the bottom of the jar you can put a few crystals of lemon salt.
Step 9
Pour the jam into the jar and do the next round (I made about 5 rounds of jam from 1 kg of strawberries), when it is full, put the lid tight and continue with the next jar.
About 4 jars of 300ml of jam come out of these quantities.
Step 10
Like any jam, when it is hot it is more liquid - on cooling it thickens very nicely and becomes like a jam.
If you did not understand the steps well, in the recipe for strawberry jam I gave several explanations for this method of boiling jam in small quantities.
Good appetite!
